The maintenance model provides an estimate for timing by year as to when major work would be required on the combustion turbine based on selected dispatch scenarios. When combined with projected costs the model can be used for a net present value determination or for estimating requirements for a reserve account program The model is Excel® based and can be easily adjusted to meet particular plant needs. Different dispatch scenarios can be evaluated. Risk analysis tools can be incorporated for more complex reviews.
The model can accommodate both the General Electric method of maintenance cycle requirements and the Equivalent Hour determinations. Risk factors can to incorporate potential variances and costs.
